One needs a land to stay on their feet. We need a ground to walk on, to drive on, to get from place to place. In the sense of life we need something to base our life upon on. To build ourselves, our true identities we need to devote our time to countless hours of job which we like it or not is a must. Jobs provide us a resource to live in a "desirable" way. The money earned with hard work and dedication is payment for my time. With the hopes of making this a ground/land under my feet, I want to make myself a PERSON.
I am AUA student from Armenia, today is 12th of March and I decided to become a Web developer. I have couple of friends who are into it however their achievements do not satisfy me considering the fact they are already in this more than a year. From 10th - 12th of March I was busy researching the requirements to become web developer and in my opinion with my surface knowledge of programming and web application I can do it. I have to start from HTML and CSS then develop into JavaScript. All this journey has to be accompanied with the idea of making a portfolio, which I will be able to showcase in the hopes of getting jobs.
Through the research I have discovered all the learning effort will take average of 6 months. Considering the fact that as a part of programming the process of learning has to be accompanied by making individual project it is highly likely the timelines will be delayed. The core programming I hope to learn until the end of May. This should include several minor projects created and developed by me. This projects will be first triumphs of my portfolio, and with the help of this I will try to get an internship and try to do freelance in the summertime. I have 2 and a half months to do this. With the idea of devotion of 2 hours daily into this I hope to accomplish it. I do not really have high hopes for all of this to be a successful plan with this close deadlines, however I hope to dedicate my summer for a better good, and with a good internship or freelance job (even if it is a short term thingy), with the idea that I can consider this as land to stand on and built my dreams, I can only hope for the best.
